Kaufmann Strangled Trofimova to Death Says Autopsy

Rome: A 46-year-old American drifter and would-be film director strangled to death his 28-year-old Russian partner and their one-year-old daughter in a Rome park in early June, an autopsy on the woman said Monday. The man, Francis Kaufmann, suffocated Anastasia Trofimova and choked their daughter Andromeda in Villa Pamphili park, said the analysis.

According to Ansa News Agency, Kaufmann, who was extradited from Greece after fleeing to a Greek island, has been charged with double homicide. It is one of Italy’s latest and most shocking femicides amid a wave of murderous violence against women.
