ROME: Winter sales have commenced across Italy, with the season’s end sales kicking off in Valle D’Aosta on Thursday. By Saturday, the discounted shopping events are expected to extend throughout the entire country, drawing a substantial number of shoppers.

According to Ansa News Agency, approximately 16 million families are anticipated to participate in the sales, with average spending projected to be around 138 euros per person. The total estimated turnover from these sales is expected to reach 4.9 billion euros, as reported by the retail group Confcommercio.
