Italy’s Extra-EU Exports Decline by 7% in April
Rome: Italy’s extra-EU exports witnessed a significant decline of 7% in April, as reported by Istat on Friday. This marked a notable shift in the country’s trade dynamics for the month.
According to Ansa News Agency, the statistics agency highlighted a cyclical decline in exports by 2.8% in April 2025. In contrast, there was a modest increase in imports, which rose by 0.3%. This overall decline in exports is primarily attributed to a substantial reduction in sales to the extra-EU area, which decreased by 7.0%. On the other hand, exports to the EU area experienced growth, increasing by 1.5%.
