Rome: Istat reported Thursday that its calendar-adjusted production index for Italy’s construction sector increased by 5% in 2024. This growth marks a significant milestone for the sector, reaching the highest level since 2008.
According to Ansa News Agency, the national statistics agency confirmed that the index’s average for the previous year stood at 137.3 points. Despite the annual growth, the agency noted a decline in the seasonally adjusted production index for construction, which fell by 1.7% in December compared to November.
