Italy Leads Europe in Recovery Plan Implementation, Says Meloni
Rome: Italy is setting an example for Europe with its implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), according to Premier Giorgia Meloni. This statement follows the European Commission’s endorsement of Italy’s request for the seventh installment payment of its NRRP, valued at 18.3 billion euros.
According to Ansa News Agency, Meloni emphasized that Italy’s leadership is evident as it has received more than 140 billion euros, representing 72% of the total financial package. Italy has successfully achieved 100% of the objectives planned in the first seven installments, which include 334 milestones and targets. All these objectives have been met in line with the timetable established by the European Commission.
Meloni highlighted that this accomplishment not only underscores Italy’s leadership in Europe but also demonstrates the country’s effective utilization of the resources provided by Europe. She noted that Italy has become a model for other member states, proving its capability in managing the instruments offered by the European Union.
