Italian Privacy Watchdog Blocks Clothoff App

Rome: Italy’s privacy authority has announced immediate restrictions on the processing of data of Italian users by the company based in the British Virgin Islands that operates Clothoff, an app that utilizes artificial intelligence to undress photos, creating the illusion of a naked body.

According to Ansa News Agency, the Clothoff app enables the generation of images of “deep nudity,” which are fake photos and videos depicting real people in nude or sexually explicit poses. The app’s capabilities extend to creating pornography, prompting the Italian authority’s intervention.
