Genoa: Great Italian photographer Gianni Berengo Gardin has died in Genoa at the age of 94, sources said on Thursday. Considered a master of photographic storytelling, he had a significant impact on the world of photography during his lifetime.
According to Ansa News Agency, Gardin worked with many leading Italian and foreign publications, including Il Mondo, Domus, Epoca, L’Espresso, Le Figaro, Time, and Stern. His collaborations with these publications showcased his talent and established him as a prominent figure in the field.
He also published 260 photographic books, sharing his vision and artistic perspective with a wide audience. His work was further celebrated through more than 360 solo exhibitions in Italy and around the world, which highlighted his contributions to the art of photography.
