Italian Non-EU Exports Decline by 7.5% in April

Rome: Italian exports to non-EU27 countries experienced a notable decline of 7.5% in April compared to March, while imports saw an increase of 1.6%, based on seasonally adjusted data.

According to Ansa News Agency, the national statistics agency, Istat, reported that exports also decreased by 2.1% when compared to April 2024, while imports rose by 11.4% during the same period.

The trade balance with non-EU27 countries in April 2025 registered a surplus of 2,178 million euros, contrasting with a surplus of 5,036 million euros in April 2024. Excluding energy, the surplus amounted to 6,373 million euros, a decrease from the 9,317-million-euro surplus recorded in April 2024.
