Yangon: The Italian Embassy in Myanmar has underscored the collective efforts being made to assist the country following a devastating earthquake. The embassy highlighted the mobilization of the Farnesina, which has allocated a substantial contribution of £3.3 million. Out of this, £2 million has been designated as an emergency contribution to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, coordinated through the Italian Cooperation, to provide immediate aid and assistance to the communities most severely affected by the earthquake.

According to Ansa News Agency, the embassy also emphasized “the great commitment of Italian NGOs and individual compatriots” who have promptly begun working to deliver aid to the devastated areas.
