Italian Bond Spread Plunges After Tariff Pause

Rome: The spread between Italy’s 10-year BTP bond and the German Bund plunged by 12 basis points to 116 after the opening of trading on Thursday following US President Donald Trump’s decision to pause the hefty tariffs he imposed on many countries.

According to Ansa News Agency, the yield on the BTP dropped by two basis points to 3.86% while the yield on the Bund rose by 10 points to 2.69%.
