Italian Auto Production Declines by 33.5% in February
Rome: Auto production in Italy experienced a significant downturn in February, decreasing by over a third, or 33.5%, compared to the same month last year, Istat reported on Thursday.
According to Ansa News Agency, the national statistics agency noted a contrasting increase of 18.1% in motor-vehicle production when compared to January. The data covered a range of transport-related outputs, including passenger cars, buses, trucks, motor homes, engines for motor vehicles, and mobile cranes.
Additionally, Istat highlighted that the overall output for the transport-equipment manufacturing sector saw a year-on-year decrease of 14.1% and a minor monthly decline of 1.1% in February.
