ITA Board Named, Sandro Pappalardo President

Rome: ITA shareholders named the new board following its merger with Lufthansa on Wednesday, naming Sandro Pappalardo chairman.

According to Ansa News Agency, the board members are Antonella Ballone, Joerg Eberhart, Lorenza Maggio, Sandro Pappalardo, and Efrem Angelo Valeriani. Additionally, Paolo Ciabattoni, Angela Florio, and Federico Testa were appointed as board of auditors, with Angela Florio taking the role of chairman of the auditors.

The merger saw the German airline Lufthansa acquire 41% of ITA, with the transaction expected to be finalized by shareholders on Thursday.
