Israeli President Herzog to Meet Pope in Vatican Thursday

Vatican city: Israeli President Isaac Herzog will meet Pope Leo XIV in the Vatican on Thursday, his office announced on Tuesday. The meeting is set to focus on critical issues such as efforts to bring back hostages from Gaza, combating anti-Semitism globally, and safeguarding Christian communities in the Middle East.

According to Ansa News Agency, the one-day visit will also include a meeting with Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin. Additionally, President Herzog is scheduled to visit the Vatican Library, underscoring the significance of cultural and interfaith dialogue.
