India, Pakistan Willing to Ease Tensions Says Tajani


Rome: India and Pakistan are willing to ease tensions, Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani announced on X Thursday following discussions with his counterparts from the two Asian countries. Tajani, who also serves as Italy’s deputy prime minister, emphasized the importance of dialogue in promoting peace and stability in the region.



According to Ansa News Agency, Tajani stated, “I had some phone calls with the foreign ministers of India and Pakistan.” He extended an invitation to both nations to reduce tensions, highlighting Italy’s central role in fostering dialogue and achieving peace.



Tajani expressed optimism about the situation, noting, “I gathered the willingness of both parties to de-escalate.” He also emphasized Italy’s commitment to working towards stabilizing the region and safeguarding vital trade routes, underscoring the broader implications of peace between the two countries.
