Budapest: Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, expressed on Facebook that since the US presidential election, decisions have been made continuously-neglecting the will of the people-to thwart Donald Trump’s efforts to make peace in Ukraine.
According to About Hungary, noting the growing risk of an escalation in the conflict, Minister Szijjártó remarked that the global pro-peace majority and all those praying for peace in Ukraine received good news. Donald Trump announced that he will appoint Keith Kellogg as a special envoy to facilitate a peaceful settlement in the Ukraine-Russia war.
Minister Szijjártó pledged the Hungarian government’s support to Kellogg’s work, emphasizing their readiness to cooperate in every effort for peace.
