Holy See’s Humanitarian Efforts Central to Peace Initiatives, Says Parolin
Rome: The Holy See’s humanitarian initiatives are pivotal to its peace-building efforts, emphasized Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin during a statement on Tuesday.
According to Ansa News Agency, Parolin highlighted the dual focus of the Holy See’s humanitarian drive, which includes aiding those impacted by war and facilitating prisoner exchanges. He articulated that these efforts could serve as a preliminary pathway to achieving peace. Parolin shared these insights while visiting the Vatican’s Bambino Ges¹ children’s hospital in Rome’s San Paolo district.
Parolin further underscored the Holy See’s strong commitment to humanitarian causes. He noted that this commitment aligns with the Vatican’s historical role in such efforts, dating back to World War I.
