Gucci Murderer Attempts to Kill Son in Family Dispute

Pisa: A 63-year-old Sicilian ex-hitman, known for the 1995 assassination of fashion mogul Maurizio Gucci, has reportedly attempted to murder his own son following a heated family argument. The incident occurred at the man’s residence near Pisa, where he subsequently turned the weapon on himself, resulting in critical injuries to both individuals.

According to Ansa News Agency, Benedetto Ceraulo, originally from Caltanissetta, has been residing in Santa Maria a Monte for a couple of years. His 37-year-old son was visiting him for the Easter holidays when the confrontation took place. During the altercation, Ceraulo shot his son in the face, causing serious injuries, before attempting suicide.

Ceraulo’s criminal history includes his involvement in the murder of Maurizio Gucci on March 27, 1995, a crime orchestrated by Gucci’s ex-wife, Patrizia Reggiani, also known as the ‘Black Widow.’ Reggiani served 18 years in prison for her role in the murder conspiracy, gaining her release in October 2016.
