Girls Killed ‘For Nothing’ Says Sula Dad

Naples: Girls in Italy are being killed “for nothing,” the father of a recent teen femicide victim stated after a 14-year-old was murdered by her 19-year-old ex-boyfriend near Naples this week. “It’s shameful, girls are killing each other for nothing these days. If we continue like this, where will we end up?” said Flamur Sula, father of Ilaria, the student killed by her ex and found in a suitcase at the bottom of a cliff near Rome. He was speaking about the femicide of fourteen-year-old Martina Carbonaro.

According to Ansa News Agency, Flamur Sula called for strong measures to be taken to address the alarming trend of femicide among the youth. He emphasized that without action, the situation is bound to worsen. The grief-stricken father expressed that as time passes, the “pain increases.”

Sula was unequivocal in his stance on forgiveness for such crimes. “Forgiveness? It cannot exist for something like this,” he emphasized, reflecting the depth of his anguish and the urgent need for societal change.
