Generali and Natixis Announce Non-Binding Deal for European Asset Management Giant
Paris: Generali and Natixis, part of the BPCE group, have signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding aimed at creating a leading European asset management entity. The collaboration will result in a venture managing assets worth 1.9 billion euros and generating revenues of 4.1 billion euros. This agreement is set to last for 15 years.
According to Ansa News Agency, the agreement stipulates that BPCE’s Natixis Investment Managers and Generali Investments will equally share ownership of the new business, with each holding a 50% stake. The joint venture will be governed by a balanced governance structure and controlled rights between the two partners.
The completion of the deal is contingent upon receiving all necessary authorizations, with the closing expected at the beginning of 2026. The strategic move aims to consolidate asset management operations in Europe, leveraging the strengths of both Natixis and Generali.
