Francis Ford Coppola Discharged from Rome Hospital After Heart Procedure
Rome: Francis Ford Coppola has been discharged from Rome’s Tor Vergata University Hospital following an ablation operation for his atrial fibrillation heart condition, sources said on Thursday.
According to Ansa News Agency, the Oscar-winning American director had previously reassured his fans about his hospital stay, emphasizing it was for a planned procedure with an Italian doctor who has been treating him for decades, and there was no cause for concern.
Coppola, addressing his fans via Instagram, stated, “Da Dada (what my kids call me) is fine, taking an opportunity while in Rome to do the update of my 30-year-old afib (atrial fibrillation) procedure with its inventor, a great Italian doctor – Dr Andrea Natale!”
