Fourth Edition of ‘Green Evenings’ Festival Celebrates Italian Music in Tbilisi
Tbilisi: The ‘Serate Verdi’ Festival is making its return to Tbilisi, featuring open-air musical events that promise to immerse attendees in the rich musical traditions of Italy. This year’s festival includes two special concerts organized by the Tonino Guerra International Foundation in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Georgia. On June 6, the Tbilisi Botanical Garden will host an evening dedicated to ‘pizzica,’ a traditional form of music from Salento.
According to Ansa News Agency, Consuelo Alfieri will introduce the audience to Salento’s cultural and musical heritage through her ‘Siroco’ project, offering a unique insight into this ancient musical tradition. The following day, on June 7, the festival will conclude with a performance by two renowned Italian accordionists, Simone Zanchini and Sara Calvanelli, who will captivate the audience with their renditions of folk music.
