F1: Hamilton Eyes ‘Reset’ After Hinting at Ferrari Exit

Budapest: Lewis Hamilton has expressed his intention to undergo a “reset” during Formula One’s summer break, following his recent underwhelming performance in the Hungarian Grand Prix. Hamilton, who described himself as “useless” after the race, suggested that Ferrari might consider replacing him due to his poor showing in qualifying.

According to Ansa News Agency, the weekend proved to be challenging not only for Hamilton but also for the entire Ferrari team. Hamilton finished a disappointing 12th in Sunday’s race, while his teammate, Charles Leclerc, managed only a fourth-place finish despite starting from pole position. Leclerc’s performance deteriorated in the latter stages of the race due to a chassis problem, adding to the team’s struggles.

Hamilton acknowledged the difficult weekend, stating that it was one to move past. He expressed gratitude for the team’s efforts throughout the weekend, despite not achieving the progress they had hoped for. With the summer break approaching, Hamilton plans to use
the time to reset and recharge, aiming to return stronger. He emphasized that while he is not yet where he wants to be, the fight is not over and he should not be counted out.
