Rome: Italy will experience another intense wave of extreme heat until mid-August, with the regions of Lazio and Tuscany expected to be the most severely impacted, according to weatherman Antonio San². The country is set to endure yet another week of oppressive heat, with muggy conditions and temperatures soaring above 40 degrees Celsius, at least until the August bank holiday weekend, as stated by San², founder of the weather website iLMeteo.it.

According to Ansa News Agency, Monday, August 11, is predicted to be exceptionally hot throughout Italy. The regions of Lazio and Tuscany will bear the brunt of this heatwave, with temperatures in the inland plains surpassing 40°C. Liguria is also expected to experience intense heat, with temperatures reaching 38-39°C in the La Spezia area, a deviation from the norm for this region. Similarly, the Po Valley will see temperatures rising dramatically, reaching 37-39°C.

Tropical nights are anticipated in several areas, with the Ligurian coast experiencing nighttime temperatures that may not drop below 28-30°C, affecting sleep patterns. As the week progresses towards Ferragosto, the African anticyclone will continue to exert its influence over Italy. This will result in an ongoing heatwave characterized by predominantly clear skies across much of the country.
