Definitive Life Term for Femicide

Bologna: A life sentence for Giovanni Padovani, who brutally murdered his ex-girlfriend Alessandra Matteuzzi in Bologna on August 23, 2022, became definitive on Wednesday after the supreme court upheld a lower appeals court verdict.

According to Ansa News Agency, the Court of Cassation confirmed the sentence originally issued by the Bologna judges. The decision was made after the Attorney General’s request to uphold the life sentence was granted, ensuring justice for the victim of this heinous crime.
