Car Production in Italy Plunges by 47.5% in April

Rome: Car production in Italy experienced a significant decline of 47.5% in April, as reported by sector group ANFIA on Tuesday. This drop highlights ongoing challenges within the Italian automotive industry.

According to Ansa News Agency, Gianmarco Giorda, the general director of the organization, commented on the situation in light of data from Istat. He noted that the Italian automotive production index continued its double-digit decline in April, recording a decrease of 17.6%. After a slight improvement in March, the index of motor vehicle manufacturing returned to a sharp decline of 30%.

Preliminary data from ANFIA showed that car production decreased by 47.5%, resulting in approximately 17,000 units produced. However, the index of the production of parts and accessories for motor vehicles and their engines showed some recovery, closing at a decline of 6.4%.
