Istanbul: A 50-year-old Italian businesswoman has died after undergoing cosmetic surgery in Turkey. Milena Mancini passed away following twenty days in intensive care at Istanbul University Hospital. The unexpected incident occurred during a liposuction procedure in the Turkish capital.
According to Ansa News Agency, unconfirmed reports from medical sources suggest that an accidental stomach injury may have occurred during the surgery. Milena Mancini was a real estate agent and the daughter of industrialist Alvaro Mancini, one of the founding figures behind Indexa SpA, a company known for its industrial maintenance and services.
Milena’s family includes her sister, Rita, a biologist who teaches at La Sapienza University in Rome, and another sister, Sara, who owns an ice cream shop in Isola del Liri, located south of Rome. Milena leaves behind two daughters.
