Bologna Beat Milan in Cup Final to End 51-Year Trophy Drought
Bologna: Bologna beat AC Milan 1-0 in the Italian Cup final on Wednesday to end a 51-year trophy drought thanks to a second-half strike by Switzerland winger Dan Ndoye.
According to Ansa News Agency, the seven-time Italian champions last lifted silverware when they won the cup for the second time in 1974. The victory was especially sweet for coach Vincenzo Italiano, who lost two Conference League finals and an Italian Cup final with his former club, Fiorentina.
