Big Increase in Minors Spreading Extremist Content, Italian Police Report

Rome: Italian police announced a significant rise in cases of minors sharing extremist and violent content on social media in recent years. The alarming trend involves the dissemination of supremacist, accelerationist, and jihadist material.

According to Ansa News Agency, authorities reported that since January 2023, 12 minors have been subjected to precautionary measures, including detention, related to these activities. Furthermore, 107 minors have been the subjects of in-depth investigations, highlighting the growing concern over youth involvement in extremist activities.
