Basketball: Vildoza Arrested for Assaulting Health Worker

Bologna: Virtus Bologna’s Argentine basketball player Luca Vildoza was arrested with his wife in Bologna overnight for allegedly assaulting a female health worker who was part of an ambulance crew responding to an emergency.

According to Ansa News Agency, the crew informed police that Vildoza was driving a black car when he began shouting at them after they had briefly stopped the ambulance to determine their route to the emergency call. The situation escalated when the black car blocked the ambulance, prompting a 55-year-old female paramedic to exit the vehicle.

Vildoza’s 26-year-old wife allegedly attacked the paramedic by pulling her hair and grabbing her by the throat. At this point, Vildoza, 30, allegedly joined the altercation. The police were subsequently called to the scene, and Vildoza and his wife now face charges of causing bodily harm.

The incident occurred following Virtus Bologna’s 77-73 victory over Monaco in the Euroleague on Wednesday.
