Atalanta’s Title Hopes Dented by Draw Against Torino

Bergamo: Atalanta were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Torino on Saturday evening. The draw represented a setback for the hosts’ campaign to conquer the Serie A title. Atalanta are now third in the standings on 47 points, three behind second-placed Inter Milan.

According to Ansa News Agency, Inter Milan have an additional two matches to play and are set for a Sunday game with AC Milan. The Serie A leaders Napoli are three additional points ahead and will play against AS Roma on Sunday. Torino are 11th in the standings with 27 points.

In another Serie A match on Saturday evening, Bologna beat Como 2-0 to reach the top six in the Serie A standings, raising their hopes of securing a Champions League spot for the second consecutive season.
