Armani: Goodbye King George Says Baggio, Losing Friend-Sheva

Milan: Italy great Roberto Baggio said “goodbye King George” while ex-AC Milan legend Andriy Shevchenko expressed his sorrow, stating, “I’m losing a friend,” following the death of fashion icon Giorgio Armani at the age of 91 on Thursday.

According to Ansa News Agency, Baggio, the former number 10 and Ballon d’Or winner, paid tribute to Armani on his social media. He shared a heartfelt message, “Goodbye King George. Thank you for giving us your art, it was an honor to meet you,” alongside a photo on Instagram depicting himself embracing the designer, both clad in blue.

A poignant message also came from Shevchenko, the former Ukrainian national team striker and fellow Ballon d’Or recipient. He mourned the loss of Armani, writing, “The world loses a man who taught it elegance. I lose a friend. Thank you for everything, dear Giorgio,” and included a photo of himself in an embrace with Armani.
