Ambassador of Italy Visits Pakistan’s Largest Textile Hub Featuring Italian Machinery
Karachi: The Ambassador of Italy to Pakistan, Marilina Armellin, visited the Gadoon Textile Mills industrial hub during her trip to Karachi for the Igatex 2025 trade fair, which showcases significant participation from Italian companies in the textile sector. The Gadoon Textile Mills is recognized as the largest textile hub in Pakistan and is owned by the Tabba family.
According to Ansa News Agency, the textile industry at Gadoon is equipped with Italian machinery from renowned brands such as Savio Orion, Marzoli, Cosme, PantaRei, Lawer spa, Unitech, Sintec Italia, ICI Caldaie, and Ocm of Biella. The machinery used in the textile processes and production is valued at approximately 500 million euros.
The visit highlights the strong synergies and collaboration between Italian technology and Pakistani textile production. The machinery from Italy supports the processing and production activities at Gadoon, showcasing the pivotal role of Italian innovation in enhancing the capabilities of Pakistan’s textile industry.
