Ambassador Bartoli Engages with Young Indian Entrepreneurs
Delhi: The Ambassador of Italy to India, Antonio Bartoli, recently engaged with a group of young entrepreneurs and start-up founders at the Delhi Residence, highlighting their role as ‘the future of the country’s economy.’
According to Ansa News Agency, the young leaders in attendance are all members of the youth branch of the Confederation of Indian Industry (Cii). These entrepreneurs are actively engaged in pivotal sectors such as design, manufacturing, food, Artificial Intelligence, and new technologies, which are crucial to the country’s economic landscape.
India has solidified its position as the third largest global ecosystem for start-ups, experiencing significant growth in recent years. Data from the Department of Industry and Trade Promotion reveals that as of January 15, 2025, India had 159,000 registered start-ups, a significant increase from just 502 in 2016.
