A 4.9 quake on the Richter scale hits near Paphos

A quake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale shook Paphos almost half an hour after midnight on Wednesday, according to the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre.

The Centre said that the quake occurred 18 km south-west of Paphos and 72 km west of Limassol with a depth of 10.1km.
