8 Palestinians Killed in Israeli Airstrikes on Central Gaza Strip

GAZA CITY: At least eight Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes early Saturday morning in the central Gaza Strip, sources told Anadolu. The attacks mark a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict between Israeli forces and Palestinian groups in the region.

According to Anadolu Agency, a medical source at the Al-Aqsa Martyrs hospital in Deir al-Balah confirmed the fatalities, noting that many more injured individuals were rushed to the hospital following the aerial assault. The strikes were part of a broader military operation in the area that has seen increased violence in recent days.

In addition to the airstrikes, Israeli forces advanced into the eastern part of the Bureij camp in central Gaza, engaging in heavy gunfire and intense artillery shelling targeting civilian homes, witnesses reported. The Nuseirat camp in central Gaza also saw heightened military activity, with Israeli military vehicles observed moving northward and engaging in heavy gunfire targeting the camp’s western regions.

Sinwar had taken over leadership following the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran on July 31.
