3 Arrested in Sulmona for Online Video of Abuse of 12-Year-Old Girl

Sulmona: Three people, including an 18-year-old and two minors, were apprehended by Carabinieri officers from the Sulmona Carabinieri Operations and Radiomobile Unit for their involvement in the abuse of a 12-year-old girl. The incident, which was subsequently shared on WhatsApp groups, has led to a series of serious charges against the suspects.

According to Ansa News Agency, the individuals arrested will face multiple charges, including aggravated gang rape, aggravated sexual assault, sexual acts with minors under 14, production of child pornography, possession of child pornography, and stalking. The gravity of the charges reflects the severity of the crimes committed against the young victim.

The arrests were executed at the suspects’ residences. Following their arrest, the 18-year-old and the minors were transported to different detention facilities. The 18-year-old was taken to the Sulmona prison, while the two minors were placed in the Casal del Marmo juvenile detention center in Rome, highlighting the coordinated efforts of law enforcement in handling such sensitive cases.
