Rome: The Lazio regional government announced Thursday that the West Nile Virus has affected individuals in the region encompassing Rome, with 12 new cases recently identified.
According to Ansa News Agency, all of the reported cases are located in the province of Latina, situated to the south of Rome. The current count of West Nile Virus cases stands at 21, including the case of an 82-year-old woman who succumbed to the disease over the weekend.
